Virginia Aromas is an importer and distributor of raw ingredients including various essential oils, carrier oils, hydrosols and many more. Virginia Aromas is a member of the International Federation of Essential Oils and Aromas Trades (IFEAT) in the Washington, DC metro area. As an IFEAT member, we commit to and adhere to the highest ethical standards in business conduct.
We take pride in our personal relationships with farmers, flavors and fragrances suppliers, and personal care manufacturers from all over the world providing our customers with only the highest quality materials, innovative offerings, and competitive pricing.
Our warehouse in Lorton, VA is a registered FDA food storage facility.
FSVP/Quality Assurance/Ingredient Safety Program
We have a FSVP (Foreign Supplier Verification Program), which we use internally to evaluate all of our foreign raw material suppliers to ensure that they are meeting the FDA food safety standards.
We use US based third-party independent labs for our GC/MS, Carbon-14, and basic contaminant testing.
Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Free pick-up from our Northern Virginia warehouse:
For items weight over 25 kilograms, you can pick up from our Virginia location in person, or use your own freight carrier for pickup, or we can prepay/add and bill you for the freight charges.
For the prepay/add option, please contact us via email sales@virginia-aromas.com to get a freight quote before you place an order on the website.
If you are picking up, please check out using the Pickup in Store option on the website, then contact us to arrange the pickup after placing an order.
Returns Policy
All claims must be made within 14 calendar days from receipt of goods.
You may return new, unopened items for a full refund minus the shipping cost. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.
Payment Instructions:
For domestic US orders over $5,000, new customers may be required to pay using Wire Transfer/ACH payment option.
For domestic US orders less than $5,000, customers can pay using either Credit Card, PayPal, or Wire Transfer/ACH. Bank deposit instructions are shared on the checkout page if you check out with the Wire Transfer/ACH option.

Sample Requests: Please email us via sales@virginia-aromas.com to request samples. For International customers, we will ship the samples free of charge; however, you are responsible for any taxes/tariffs and international shipping costs.
Sample Approval: We reserve the right to obtain your written approval for the lot sample before we process and ship your orders.
